What is Kettlebell sport?

Girevoy (Kettlebell) Sport, is a cyclical strength, power and endurance sport that requires the technical lifting through a range of specific lifts. The various lifts include Jerk, Long Cycle, Snatch and Half Snatch.

Athletes can use a single kettlebell, or a pair of kettlebells, requiring them to compete with the aim to complete as many repetitions as possible in a set period of time, with a select weight. Time periods for lifts vary, however, common are the Traditional Lifts (10 minutes), Military Snatch (12 minutes), Half Marathons (30 minutes). There is even Full Marathons of 60 minutes at select major events.

With competitions at local, state and national level, Girevoy Sport offers grassroots development for athletes. It is the culmination of a of various qualities including improvement in muscular strength, power, aerobic fitness and technical capacity that may allow an athlete to achieve national rankings. With the potential to represent Australian at International Championships.

Kettlebell lifting is for everyone, but you will have to choose which lift you prefer to train and compete with, and if you want to use one kettlebell or two.

You will improve your power, endurance, mobility, cardio, strength and flexibility.

We have two coaches that head the community and have over 10 years combined experience in Kettlebell sport and Fitness training industry experience.

Training Plans

As a beginner, you get an 4-week starter program. After that, you can access advanced programs custom-made for your needs and training requirements.
